I was born in Olcsva, Hungary in 1923. I was deported with my family to the Mateszhalka Ghetto after Pesach in Spring 1944. After several weeks, we were deported to Auschwitz. My mother and my younger brother were sent directly to the crematorium. My older brother and my father were sent to Austria to serve in the forced labor battalions attached to the Hungarian Army. In December 1945, I was liberated by the Russians and was the sole survivor in my family. I married Lászlo Weiss in 1946. In 1966, we emigrated to Israel with our two daughters. My message to my children and grandchildren is to pray and don’t leave your Jewishness. Pray, so that everything should be well.
